The village of Abondance has most of the things you will need during your holiday. Several shops, with banks, post office and sports shops are clustered around the market square. On Sundays throughout the year there is a market in the main square selling local produce - especially the Abondance cheese. There are 7 restaurants in the village and nearby - everything from a small bistro to Michelin recommended restaurants. During the summer there are numerous festivals held in the village, music, cheese, 4x4, mountain bike.

The runs at Abondance are ideal for families and children as they all end at the top of the bubble lift and the restaurant. A great place to to spend a day getting your ski legs and when it snows the power lasts longer in Abondance because fewer people know about it.
